What's crackin' L-Beezies?!
Another week here at LBHQ and things are never dull to be sure.
This coming Friday, Feb. 12th, our very own Joyo Velarde will be appearing at SOM in San Francisco with Trackademicks and Honor Roll for their monthly party, ROLL CALL!
Make sure you come out as this will be a special listening party for her debut album, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING -- which drops next week, February 16th in stores and online.
LB is on the road still, tearing up Utah and Idaho and Montana.

What it do, y'all??!!
It's our second month into 2010 and we are well on our way to having the biggest year yet!! This month is very special for all of us at LBHQ due to the fact that February 16th is the release date of the debut album from Ms. Joyo Velarde!!!
It has been a long time coming indeed, but it is finally going to be unleashed upon the world via Quannum Projects / Mobile Home Recordings and you know it's going to be nothing short of spectacular! Executive Produced and A&R'd by LB himself, the album features LB (of course) along with Jake One, Asa Taccone, Jumbo the Garbageman, Tommy Guerrero and more!!!
For any of y'all who may be new to the LB world, Joyo Velarde is of course the wife of Mr. Lyrics Born, and she is also the voice of Quannum! Having been on every Quannum release in one form or another, Joyo has been belting out melodies, hooks and her own music for years now.
Most of you first heard her on the Latyrx album via "Balcony Beach" back in the day, then she released her own single called "Sweet Angels" and in 2008 she released her very first mixtape, "Hey Love!" (which you can buy right here) featuring collabs, remixes and exclusives -- including tracks off of her forthcoming debut.
Last year Quannum released a digital-only EP featuring just a handful of tracks (including a non-album exclusive titled "I Need U Boy") to wet everyone's appetite for the full-length which has seen many setbacks, but is officially dropping February 16th.
We are going to have Joyo Velarde exclusive content all month long including LBTV footage, LBFM exclusives and more! So make sure you're checking in, as always, at LyricsBorn.com.
Again, February 16th, 2010 is the Official release date for LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING, so make sure you mark it on your calendars and cop that ish once it's out.
Of course it's not ALL about Joyo Velarde, as LB has some bizness going down this month as well including a tour kicking off this week.

Nope, Joyo Velarde will not be on this string of shows as she will be playing various shows around the Bay Area promoting her brand new album. Rest assured you'll be able to catch Joyo on tour with LB this summer and check in here at LB.com as well for her show dates as well as LB's.
LB is constantly hard at work on finishing up his own album, AS U WERE, which from the songs I've heard is unbelievable. LB is taking it to the next level once again and y'all are gonna go bananas over this new material. We'll of course keep you posted on that and we'll see if we can't get LB to give y'all a sneak peek here in the next month or two!
